Filomenakomalam !!!

Things have been going well. My wife and I are very positive about the baby-making and we are keen to move from Puerto Rico and back to the United States.

Tonight, after our usual double-episode of Criminal Minds on A&E, our conversation turned to the naming of children. My wife's sister has chosen Alejandra Teresa as the name for her expected daughter - a name that I think is beautiful. For the curious and letter-counters among you, her full name will be:
Alejandra Teresa Randhawa Alvarez
With a name like that, she better be something important! The first name comes from the middle name of her mother. The second name is the name of her great grandmother. You get the picture.

Here are some variations that can only come about if you are a Puerto Rican married to an Indian.

A son named after our fathers:
Julio Yug-Vijay-Kumar Marwaha Alvarez (the highest possible Scrabble score)

A son named after our grandfathers:
Julio Narasimha Marwaha Alvarez (a very sophisticated tongue-twister)

and our personal favorite...

a daughter named after our grandmothers:
Filomena Komalam Marwaha Alvarez

The only possible response after being introduced to someone called 'Filomena Komalam Marwaha Alvarez' ?
'Gesundheit!'
